Abdülhadi Erol Dönmez
Abdülhâdi Erol Dönmez was born in Sivas in 1965. He graduated from the Faculty of Theology in 1989 and completed his master’s degree at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Marmara University in 1992. Between 1994 and 1998, Abdülhâdi worked as a research assistant at the Faculty of Fine Arts at his alma mater.
Abdülhâdi trained in Sülüs and Nesih calligraphic scripts under master calligrapher Hüseyin Kutlu. He received his license in 1993 and continues to work at the Library of Turkish and Islamic Applied Arts in Istanbul.
Gül Hanım Dönmez
Born in Erzurum, Turkey, Gül Hanım Dönmez (b. 1971) began her journey in Islamic manuscript illumination with Ali Rıza Özcan at the Applied Turkish-Islamic Arts Library in 2003 and received her license in 2015 and has participated in many group exhibitions across Turkey.
Gül Hanım continues her illumination journey with Ali Rıza Özcan at the Library of Applied Turkish-Islamic Arts as well as offering workshops to the public.
